What I found out about getting a flat stomach is that there’s really no shortcut. As far as have experienced, there’s no way to get a flat stomach fast. It takes time.

It takes time to burn belly fat and it takes discipline and consistency to do it.

I have to tell you, I have tried so many ways to get rid of my embarrassing tummy but to end up having more fat in my tummy.

I tried exercising — not effective for me.

I tried drinking lemon, ginger, apple cider vinegar — believing they are effective as like what others tell us — not effective for me either.

I have tried many more ways in years, but to no avail.

What I found effective is when I realized and understood what’s causing fat in my stomach. It’s excess food.

The fat that was in my stomach is excess energy from carbs and sugar that my body cannot burn; hence, it’s stored as fat.

Here’s what I typically eat everyday before:

  • Breakfast — rice (no limit) and whatever dish is there and coffee with sugar and creamer.
  • Snacks (morning and afternoon) — usually bread, pasta, cookies, burger, pizza, etc — and whatever is available — and of course coffee with sugar and creamer.
  • Lunch — just like breakfast.
  • Dinner — just like breakfast but considerably more rice because that’s my only time to eat without rushing up. I’m an office worker, btw.

So there… that’s what I put in my body everyday. Whenever I feel hungry, I eat. Before, I wondered what’s causing my belly fat. Now I understood — it’s what I eat.

We are what we eat.

Again, what I found is there’s no quick way of getting a flat stomach naturally. There’s no way of getting a flat stomach fast. I had to give my body the chance to do it on its on way, slowly and in a healthy, natural way — fasting.

I got a flat stomach by fasting and eating healthy, non-carb and non-sugary food.

I found fasting effective for me. Fasting and cutting carbs and sugar is far more effective. What I do to fast is — I don’t eat for a minimum of 12 hours then I eat healthy food after that. I eat any food for as long as it’s not carbs and sugary. Then, I supplement that by a short moderate exercise. So simple, but very effective for me.
